MT5 Holding Fee

An MT5 server plugin that calculates and charges holding fees on open positions automatically, using your rules for each symbol and group.

Why it exists

The problem

Many brokers charge a holding fee on positions kept open over time, for example on swap-free accounts or on particular instruments. On MT5 these charges are often calculated in spreadsheets and posted to accounts by hand.

Every charge period the same work comes round again. It takes dealer time, it often falls outside normal hours, and a wrong rate or a missed account changes client balances in a way that is hard to explain afterwards.

Process

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Set your fee rules

Define the holding fee for each symbol and group, including which accounts it applies to.

  2. Step 2

    Schedule the charges

Choose when fees are charged so the plugin runs at the right time without anyone waiting up for it.

  3. Step 3

    Review the preview

Before anything is charged, your team sees exactly which positions and accounts will be affected and by how much.

  4. Step 4

    Charge and record

Approved fees are posted on the MT5 server, every charge is written to the audit log, and your operations team is notified.
